February Ornament

I joined the 2010 Christmas Challenge to make 1 ornament a month. I made the Nutcracker, designer Shilpa Gore from Stitcher's World 2002. My grandson who is 9 collects nutcrackers. I don't really care for them but as I was stitching him I grew quite fond of the little guy :)

My daughter bought me this Dimensons kit for Christmas. I love these angels and have wanted this pattern for a long time.

January Ornament--Shaun the Sheep

While not typically a Christmas ornament, I made this for my husband for Christmas 2010. He is a Shaun the Sheep fan and I like him too. We have one tree that has all sorts of odd ornaments on it so this will fit right in with the rest of the gang.

Next I'm going to work some on my Angel Stocking for a few days

Stitching Bug

I'm hoping keeping a blog will help motivate me to stitch more. I hardly did any stitching last year. Oh yes I had great plans but didn't do much at all. Now hopefully I am finally over being sick. I feel motivated and I am stitching. I started A Bouquet for Cheryl on Feb 4 so far I love the colors on the black fabric. Tonight is the 5th of Feb. I had a migraine for the day and slept so I will probably be awake most of the night. I will be stitching on a Bouquet for Cheryl again. . I think I will stitch on it one or two days a week. I am starting early on Christmas ornaments for next year. I have done Shaun the Sheep for my husband, all I have to do is make a hanger for it and I will probably use sticky felt for the back. For my grandson, I have a nutcracker half stitched. I also want to finish off my angel stocking which will be for me. I have one UFO I want to finish, maybe one of these years lol. It is Collecting Shells. Well I'm off to stitch.

A Bouquet For Cheryl

I have decided to stitch A Bouquet For Cheryl so I'm a late starter. I will be stitching it on black 14 ct. aida. using DMC 3607, 3608, and 3685. I probably will be using a strand of two colors for the design and one of the colors for the outside squares.
